The Synergies and Economic Opportunities among Productive Chains in the Abrolhos Terra e Mar Collaboratory project aimed to:

Identify synergies and economic opportunities among the fishing, tourism, and recovery/restoration productive chains, based on the Abrolhos Terra e Mar Territory Financing Plan.

Contribute to the process and strategy of building the integrated ecosystem proposed by the Financing Plan, providing an online environment for participatory collaboration among stakeholders in the fishing, tourism, and restoration/recovery productive chains.

Achieve the engagement of chain players in the implementation of the Financing Plan through a participatory presentation, allowing everyone to contribute and see themselves as protagonists of the initiative.

Propose an integrated business model among the three productive chains, based on the information gathered in the Financing Plan and the collaboration of representatives and key players.

To achieve these objectives, we conducted the LAB Synergies and Economic Opportunities among Productive Chains in Abrolhos Terra e Mar during the “Blue-ing the Circular Economy” Summit, entirely online.

The word Collaboratory combines two elements: collaboration and laboratory, suggesting the creation of a space where we consider, study, and examine collaborative innovations. Emerging solutions are directly tested and adjusted, while also supporting the production and generation of knowledge. It was developed by a working group led by Prof. Dr. Katrin Muff during the Rio+20 conference.
